2. What is the organization structure?
3. Organization demographics(employees, revenue, income)?
4. What is the compensation salary, commissions, bonus, bridge, draw?
5. What is the insurance,retirement/401k,equity,vacation?
6. What is the quota?
7. What did the top salesperson make in commissions last year?
8. What did the 10th sales person make last year in commissions?
9. What is the territory and who are the targeted strategic accounts in that territory?
10. Are there VAR and OEM opportunities?
11. What happened to the salesperson currently in this territory?
12. What is expected amount of travel?
13. What is the selling cycle and how long?
14. What is the sales approach(team/individual)?
15. What are my roles(market research, demos, closing, contracts, cold calling)?
16. Who are current clients?
17. What is your vision/where will the company the company be in five years?
18. What are your competitive strengths, where do you fit in the market, who are your competitors?
19. Can I speak with a current salesperson and see a demonstration of the product?
20. What are the marketing supports tools(resources, literature, market analysis, trade shows)?
21. How is employee turnover? (if high why?)
22. What in my background will make successful for the position?
23. What area do you believe I will need to improve on or concerned about?
24. What percentage of consultants are inhouse(w2) and what percentage our subcontracted?
25. With being in business 12 years why only 33 consultants? (supply or demand/average of one new consultant a quarter)
26. How profitable are you?
27. What do you offer for training?
28. When do you need to make the hiring decision?
29. Who in additional to yourself, is involved in the hiring decision?
