Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010: Successfully Executing Positive Change

CloserQ Readers, I just finished reading (listening) to Chip Heath and Dan Heath's book, Switch: How to Change Things When Change Is Hard and it is fantastic.

'Switch' takes a unique look on why change is hard and it is NOT because people don’t want to change. ‘Switch’ offers explanations and techniques for aligning rational decision making (the rider); emotions (the elephant); and the environment (the path) to implement positive change.
I also believe Switch will help with your sales strategies. For me personally, I focus the majority of my sales strategies on rational reasons why my solution is the best decision for their organization. This book is helping me expand my strategies to include more of the buyer’s emotions and their environments both internally and externally.
Lastly, below is an article on Switch from McKinsey Quarterly that I read prior to my purchasing of Switch.
Good Reading / Listening!
