A Summer with Savannah

This summer of 2025, Christine and I had the pleasure of hosting Savannah Nestler, the daughter of my childhood friends Paul and Cheryl. Savannah is a rising Senior at the University of New Hampshire and spent her summer interning at our son-in-law’s company, 3C Software.

Not only did she work hard, but we also made sure she had plenty of fun outside of the office. Savannah quickly became part of the family rhythm, joining in on adventures, family gatherings, and even a little rugby action.

Highlights of the summer included:

• Folly Beach Visit – Madison, Sammy, Carson, Christine, and I traveled to Folly Beach to spend time with Jennifer, Matthew, Andrew, and Fets. See Video.

• Georgia Aquarium – We took Savannah along while watching my second cousin, and of course got some classic aquarium photos. See Video.

• Rugby Match – Savannah jumped right in! She wasn’t just watching—she was passing, catching, running, and yes, even getting tackled. Check out her awesome See Rugby Video.

• 28th Annual Perkins Pond Cookout – we even flew up to New Hampshire together for a long weekend and our 28th joint families' annual cookout. It was a perfect way to close out the summer.

Savannah, thank you for spending your summer with us and bringing your energy, kindness, and fun spirit into our lives. We wish you the very best in your senior year at UNH and beyond.  You have a very bright future!
