London to the Scottish Highlands: Friars, Friendship, and a 35-Year Full Circle, in February 2026

On January 29th, Christine and I flew the redeye to London.  On January 30th, the two of us wandered for over 5 miles along the Thames River, then dinner at AquaShard.  On January 31st, we met up with fellow Providence College Friars Ray & Necia O’Neill, and Bobby Furlan. London turned into a mini PC pre-reunion.  The five of us toured the Churchill War Rooms, walked through Westminster Abbey, had our own pod on the London Eye [sans Ray], and even met up with a childhood friend of Carson’s at The Westminster Arms Pub. A couple of days to explore, reflect, adjust to new time-zone, and enjoy London together.

On 2/1, we took the high-speed train to Edinburgh, Scotland to meet up with Myers Tours.  Then the next phase of our trip, February 2nd to 8th, the official Myers Tours Scotland 2026 trip, led by Jim Myers, fellow Providence College Class of 1991.  Our tour group included, the PC dynamic duo of Meg & Adam Benjamin, 23 more international travelers, a Scottish bus driver, and an official Scotland Tour Guide:

If you made it this far, enjoy our picture montage!

But the real highlight is the people.

Grateful,  Shaun & Christine
