Book Review: The Personal MBA: Master the Art of Business

CloserQ Readers, I just finished reading (listening to on Audible) The Personal MBA: Master the Art of Business by Josh Kaufman.  A fantastic read and refresher for executives in early, mid, and late stages of their careers.
Josh does a great job of introducing the areas required to run a successful business or department; from start-ups to fortune 500s.  In addition to introducing the areas, Josh shares recommendations on resources to take a deeper dive in areas, where you want additional details.
Josh starts out with the very core of what it takes to have a successfully business with 'Value Creation'.  Then moves to generating revenue with 'Marketing' and 'Sales'.  Then onto operations and 'Value - Delivery'.  'Finance',including raising money, pricing models, and that businesses need to make money.  Moving onto human capital on how decisions are made 'The Human Mind', 'Working with Yourself', and then 'Working with Others'.   With these foundations, Josh moves onto more sophisticated topics, 'Understanding Systems', 'Analyziing Systems', and 'Improving Systems'.
My only critique is the beginning of the book, where in my opinion, Josh spends too much time justifying his book and devaluing an MBA.   I believe that Josh's book stands on its own as a valuable business resource.
