In June 2017, the Priest-Four added Sammy Smith to our annual summer pilgrimage up to the Northeast. For this years adventure, we got to see Nana and Papa's new house on Perkins Pond in Sunapee, NH, visited Ben & Jerry's factory in Waterbury, VT, saw Aunt Maureen in Burlington, VT and wrapped up our trip with three days in the French Speaking and 400 year old Quebec City. Below are pictures from our trip:
On the Sunapee Dinner Boat, the Full Priest-Seven plus Sammy
We stayed at my parents spectacular brand new house on beautiful Perkins Pond.
On Saturday, we had an all day / evening cookout on Nestler's Island, including our annual swim back and forth swift current of Perkins Pond.
The next day a crew of us hike majestic Mt. Kearsarge not too far from Elkins, NH home of the Nestler's. The hikers at the top
We had a full schedule including celebrating Father's Day on the Lake Sunapee Dinner Cruise, including getting to drive the steamship.
Before heading off to Vermont, Christine and I got to take a canoe ride around Perkins Pond.
After Sunapee, Christine recommended we take a tour of Ben & Jerry's factor in Waterbury, VT. If you are near Waterbury, we highly recommend the tour:

After Ben & Jerry's, we headed to have lunch at Shanty by the Shore on Lake Champlain in Burlington, VT with my Aunt Maureen. Aunt Maureen is always fun to be around, include that Vermont petitioned to have Lake Champlain, as the sixth largest lake in the USA, become one of the Great Lakes, but CHOMES doesn't work.
After a fantastic seafood lunch, the five us got back into the mini-van for journey to Quebec City. We had our first and positive experience with AirBnB, staying in an 18th Century House right on the St. Lawrence River.
When on vacation the first thing Christine and I like to do is to ride the double-decker bus or other novelty tour
There was rain, however we persevered.
With tour complete, we enjoyed this wonderful Historic and French speaking city
Sammy was a fantastic addition to our trip, including bringing his iPad with Monopoly, which was played on all of our long drives and the AirBnB.
Just outside of Quebec City is Montmorency Waterfall, which has hiking, a tram, zip-line (closed because of wind the day we visited), and a restaurant at the top.
After Montmorency Falls, we drove another 10 miles to the Sainte Anne Canyon, a scenic hike with three suspension bridges criss-crossing the gorge.
Sammy was an absolute joy on our trip, and a side benefit was Sammy taking pictures of the four of us, so I could be in more pictures. This last picture is from Sammy is the four of us in Montreal, just before we rushed to the airport to catch our flight back to the ATL
Thank you for letting us share pictures from our summer vacation. If you have any questions, please email Shaun Priest at shaun@closerq.com.

Hard to recognize him, however Sammy is in the red shirt, in-front of the falls
