On April 9th, 2025, Christine and I set off for Jackson Hole, Wyoming, for a Promptly Patient Experience Conference. After memorable adventures to Yosemite and the Grand Canyon, Christine was all in for another National Park escapade, this time to Yellowstone after the conference.
However, ...... plot twist. I ass-u-med Yellowstone would be open. Turns out, Yellowstone shuts down from early April to mid-May for snowmelt and migrating wildlife. Oops.
Thankfully, all was not lost. We were still able to drive about 20 miles into Yellowstone and packed our days in Jackson full of unforgettable moments. We stayed steps away from the iconic Town Square with its famous elk-antler arches, rode the aerial tram to the top of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, saddled up at the legendary Million Dollar Cowboy Bar, soaked in the charm of this wild western town, and more.
