High School Senior Letter to my son, Carson

My son Carson graduates from Harrison High School this month, and his school asked his parents to put together a letter for him, below is mine to Carson.  Plus the pictures, I included in my letter:

Dear Carson:

I can’t believe you are graduating from high school this month.  I love you so much, and I am going to miss you, as you start the next stage of your life journey.  I have enjoyed every minute of the first 18 years of your life, all of it!  I am so proud of you, as you have taken on every challenge.

I love all of our adventures together, especially the ones with trials to overcome; getting lost on four-wheeler; learning to bicycle then the bike breaking down; and taking a wrong turn on top of Mt. Washington,.  We have done so many one on one trips together from the many Red Sox games each summer, to nine Patriots games, to Dodgers NLCS game, to NCAA Elite Eight, to Braves, to Falcons, to Driftwood, to Myrtle Beach pitching for the Heat, all the way to Houston, Texas and the Patriots win over the Falcons in Superbowl 51.

As you have grown up, and  I have relished watching you play baseball, basketball, football, and most recently dodge ball.   Better yet, participating with you; basketball, snowboarding / skiing, road races, hiking, camping, canoeing, swimming, caving, whitewater rafting, triathlons, tennis, ping-ponging, golf, pickleball, zombie runs, wii, x-box, and warrior dashes.

In addition to our one on one trips across the USA, especially our annual Patriot games, I love being with you, Madison and mom together. Our family vacations to Perkins Pond every year, plus our family trips to New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Tampa Bay, Orlando, Martha Vineyard, Mexico, and Quebec.

As you head off to college, please remember: Be Nice, Be Inclusive, Be a Leader

If you need me, I will be there.

Love, Your Very Proud,  Dad

Thank you for letting me share my letter to my college bound son.
