Celebrating 25 Years of Unconditional Love in France and Italy, with my amazing wife, Christine!

Christine and I celebrated our 25^th Wedding Anniversary with a nearly a 1,000 miles of self-driving journey from Nice, France to Venezia, Italy with stops at Monaco, Annecy, Torin, and Lake Como. Thank you for Christine on our amazing journey! Our 25 years have had peaks and valleys, with way more peaks than valleys. Our love has grown in ways that I cannot express in words. Importantly, we have two amazing adult children in Madison and Carson, and we are about to add an impressive son-in-law with Sammy. Christine ‘Forever Your Love’! Check out our pics:

Friday, October 1^st – Redeye to Nice, with a connection through JFK

The life flat seats were game-changing!

Saturday, October 2^nd – Nice, France

The first thing that I did was go for a swim in the Mediterranean Sea! Then we toured the city including hiking to the top of Castle Hill-Colline du Chateau in Nice.

Sunday, October 3^rd, Monaco, France

Monaco: Rich, Famous, Casino, Own Country, and checked our vaccine cards everywhere

Monday, October 4^th, Annecy, France

The picturesque town / lake Annecy, were out did by Pierre and Stephanie. We met Pierre at a local pub, then Pierre got his wife, Stephanie, who is an ex-pat American and an Auburn grad! Christine and I loved this part of our trip, War Dam Eagle!

Tuesday, October 5^th, Torino, Italy

Torin, crazy story, and our only gaffe of our trip. We are wanted to go the town of Monte Blanc our during drive to Venice. Instead, we ended up driving through the mountain via the Monte Blanc Tunnel. After 50 miles and a $60 toll, we decided visit Torino, before heading to our hotel on Lake Como. We struggled getting gas, and the waze took us via car ferry across Lake Como, which we didn't expect, from the town of Menaggio to Bellagio and our hotel.

Wednesday, October 6^th, Verano, Italy

We love the Lake Como perpetual ferry system between the cities on Lake Como. We took the ferry from Bellagio to Verano, the we hiked straight up to the Vezio Castle, build in the 1100’s.

Thursday, October 7^th, Bellagio, Italy

On Hotel Belvedere recommendation, we took an amazing personal boat tour of Lake Como, seeing George Clooney’s house, the Ocean’s Twelve house, the Star War’s house, James Bond’s House, Succession House, Richard Branson’s house, and so many spectacular views. Then, we visited Villa Carlatto in Menaggio Wrapping our day with a drink in the hotel bar, we met the entertaining English couple of Kevin and Justine, (no pics) who are our age, and scouting their upcoming wedding on Lake Como.

Friday, October 8^th, Venezia, Italy

Venice, Simple indescribable, nothing like the movies. We walked over 8 miles on our first day

Saturday, October 9^th, Burano, Italy

Burano, our Venice Gondoliere recommended visiting the island of Burano! What a recommendation, we took the Venice city bus (aka a boat), and we love the full experience, including getting crammed into the city ferry, we just made it. Then back for a final walk around Venice!
