24-Hours at Bleu Canoe in North Georgia Mountains

On the first day of February 2025, Christine and I headed to the Georgia Mountains for a hike, dinner at Bleu Canoe, and a cozy night in a tiny home. We met up with Marie & Gerard White and Linda & Eric Anderson, enjoying the first warm day of the year.

We started with a cocktail at Bleu Canoe, owned by Gerard’s brother Jim and his wife Lee.  Lee then led us on a scenic three-mile hike overlooking Lake Burton—along with her two dogs. Unfortunately, Eric came down with the flu mid-hike and had to take a trail-side nap (proof in the picture below!).

Post-hike, we convinced Linder (Boston accent included) to join us for a drink before taking Eric back to Atlanta. The evening wrapped up with a delicious Cajun dinner before Christine and I settled into our tiny home for the night.

Refreshed, we headed back to Kennesaw the next morning. Check out our amazing pictures—what a trip!

What an amazing time, thank you Gerard and Marie for the invite!
