Father, Son, and Grandfather Climb Highest Peak in Northeast

On Monday, July 27th, 2009, Eight of us including my dad, Steve; my son, Carson; brother, Tim; uncle, Ronnie; cousin, Braden; a close friend, Justin, from high school and his son, Adam; climbed Mt. Washington in New Hampshire.
We had typical Mt. Washington weather with sunny and 70 degrees at the bottom, and rainy with 40 miles an hour winds and 45 degrees at the top.

We started at Pinkham Notch and we hiked up the Tuckerman Ravine trail. After climbing the face of Tuckerman's Ravine, my son Carson and I got separated from the group taking an alternate route to the top toward the Lake of the Cloud's hut. Including our detour it took us almost 5 hours to get the top.

This was an amazing trip to see my dad (66) lead our group on the hike and my son (9) to perservere when he was exhausted and cold as we reached the top together.
What an adventure and opportunity to bond with my son, dad, and brother. The pictures are from the bottom, middle, top and of Carson climbing the face of Tuckermans.

The hike was followed with camping on the Androscoggin River, Hiking two of the four Connecticut Lakes including a short hike into Canada, jumping over the headwaters of the Connecticut River, canoeing and swimming Umbagog Lake.
Check out my dad's video montage of the trip:
I want to thank my dad and brother for leading our adventure.
