In July 2021, Carson and his friend Tyler, joined me on a business trip to Vegas for the ASCRS conference. Carson is a HUGE Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Fan, and amazingly at the table next to us was Darren Elkins and his crew with Team Alpha Male, celebrating Darren's win versus Darrick Minner earlier that night.
Clockwise at the table, Chris Holdsworth; the winner, Darren; a guy that I can't find online and was super cool when we bought them tequila shots; Urijah Faber, hall of fame cage-fighter; Raymond Daniels; and around the outside, Danny Castillo; Tyler and Carson.
Three quick stories:
- Darren won 'fight of the night' and picked up a $50k bonus
- Early in the night, I ran into Danny in the men's room, where we had a funny conversation on 'Super Fantastic'
- Carson is a UFC historian, and talked to Urijah about his early days in the WEC (World Extreme Cagefighting) and his Championship Belt as a Featherweight.
Carson is obviously a Monster UFC Fan, whereas I am not. ALL of these guys, who are the toughest of the toughest, could not to be NICER! Thanks to all of them!
